(Technical notes): This image was taken just as the summer sun disappeared below the horizon. It's reflecting off a perfectly-placed diagonal cloud, part of a front pushing through. A couple had parked their Mazda Miata sports car in just the right spot near the 66-foot tall "Pops" sign. The car's side is in silhouette in declining ambient light.

A prime lens, slow-speed film and a tripod-mounted manual focus Nikon captured what I saw.

The negative was not "manipulated" other than minor cropping and adjusting in Photoshop.
