Glenrio has more traffic lanes than people. Since it straddles the TX/NM line this gallery has images from both states. Some were taken from one state into the other.
After I-40 was built in the 1970s Glenrio was a ghost town, attracting vandals for nearly 50 years. Decay took care of others. Some structures shown here including the Broyles Mobil gas station from 1925 are now gone.
A marijuana dispensary has opened on the NM side, but posession remains a crime just a few feet away in TX.
