This 1840s doll survived the Donner Party tragedy. It belonged to 8-year-old Patty Reed. Sutter's Fort sent out several relief and rescue parties, crossing what is now Donner Pass to bring some survivors here.br/ br/ The doll is in a climate-controlled display box at what is now Sutter's Fort State Park.
