A famous sign is framed here by pillars of a motel office. But it's backward because this is a reflection in the bright sun. This complex (equivalent to a modern travel center) was once a very busy place in the middle of the California desert.

The cafe and gas station are still open, providing a flash-back to the era when cars...and signs...had fins.
