WOODEN BRIDGE-SOUTH (Rt 66 nr Endee NM)

This narrow wooden bridge carried the Joad Family of The Grapes of Wrath in this direction--west toward California. It functioned for roughly 20-years until a new alignment (minus narrow wooden bridges) was built in the early 1950s.
