Sky Chief was Texaco's Ethyl (premium) gas. This clock-faced pump is now part of the ambience outside a Route 66 restaurant and watering hole.

This pump has two rotating hands. One kept track of total gallons, the other fractions. It was then up to the attendant to calculate the payment. At 19.9 cents a gallon (a real price back then!) a 10 3/4 gallon fill-up would come to $2.14.
