SIDE VIEW MIRROR & TRUCK (Lincoln Highway Belle Plaine IA)
From 1913 to 1937 the Lincoln Highway (later US 30) brought the world to and through Belle Plaine. Because of superb farmland the town continues to thrive, although the highway is now 5 miles (8 km) away.
Here a truck speeds west on the modern bypass above a car mirror showing a grain storage bin and signs. The image has been flipped horizontally.
