This building is an out-of-the-way classic and on the National Register. The 1946 design represents a break with the gently rounded surfaces seen before World War II. Here neon and retrofitted LED bulbs glow on twin ornaments that do absolutely nothing except look good. The tower was designed to be visible for 20 miles (32 km).
