FIRE STATION NO 15 (Rt 66 Tulsa OK)
This 1948 reinforced concrete building is on the Admiral Place alignment of Rt 66 that was used until 1932. So it's part of the historic routing now but wasn't there at the time.
That said, it's a lovely, practical (and fireproof!) structure--the smallest of Tulsa's Fire Stations. The tower was for hanging cotton fire-hoses out to dry. The stylized metal letters on the front hang from the roof.
