This 1947 lunch counter was mass-produced the way trailers are now. It has the now-classic Streamline Moderne styling, an outgrowth of Art Deco. The design was mimicked, using concrete block construction, in the Little Juarez Diner at Glenrio TX/NM--which also makes an appearance in the "Cars" movies.
