Restored nighttime lighting on this 1927 theater is shown in other images. The day view may actually be prettier--especially when raking sunlight hits the ruddy stucco and surface detail, creating its own art as it moves across the desert sky.

At right bottom, part of a traffic signal gets into the act with a zig-zag shadow not unlike some motifs on the building.
