The mainstream of the Ohio River flows between Wheeling Island in the distance and a riverfront pathway downtown. The 1849 bridge has a relatively light open-mesh steel deck. Cables visible through the foliage at bottom right prevent excessive deck movement in wind. A watercolor effect has been added.
