FIGURAL BOTTLES #2 (Rt 66 Newkirk NM)
Figural bottles generally show human or animal figures pressed or molded into glass. They're very common at flea markets.
This detail shot shows faded paint on the sign with a gap above the glass. The bottom of the window frame has collapsed--and gravity explains the rest. Through the resulting gap, wooden shelving is visible. The building only contains odds and ends, mainly auto-related, apparently from the ruins of Wilkerson's gas station next door.
The dirty window reflects the front step and brown dirt outside.
I also show the complete front of this building in the image "Figural Bottles" taken several years earlier.
