This is my pick for the single best sign of the bunch and there's a lot to choose from. They're lined up along both sides of 66.

This sign would be more effective in ALL CAPS. And with a different typeface. This one is way too stylish and friendly, almost something you'd want for a beauty parlor.

The real oddity, however, is the coloring--white on blue. We're conditioned to seeing that along the Interstates for Rest Areas and Picnic Areas.

Here it muddles the message, and almost changes it into "Lake of Fire, Torment Forever, Exit Now."
