This is the headquarters for the largest Mormon splinter group, now called the "Community of Christ." After LDS founder Joseph Smith was murdered in 1844, the main group followed Brigham Young to UT. Others remained in the Midwest or abandoned Mormonism.

The building went up in 1994 and the spire rises 195 feet (60 m).
