THE ALAMO #1 (San Antonio TX)

THE ALAMO #1 (San Antonio TX)

The Alamo has had a tortured history beginning with the losing 1836 battle that led to eventual Texas independence from Mexico. The ruin was used for storage and a wholesale grocery. Efforts to save it did not begin until the 1890s.

Today the area mixes a shrine with commerce. This reflection on a souvenir store window captures it all.
