Although billed as "Northern" CA, this area is home to palms and other southern plants. Sacramento is halfway between the Pacific and 7000+ ft (2130 m) Donner Pass, but the elevation here is just 25-40 ft (8-12 m) allowing for lush scenes like this. A watercolor effect has been added.
