This Mission-style building, largely of brick and tile, went up in 1925--near the peak of passenger rail service. Within a decade, Ford would offer V8 engines, and it would be possible to drive coast-to-coast on pavement!br/ br/ Southern Pacific is now part of Union Pacific. This station is still used by Amtrak.
