Ford's Model T was state-of-the-art when this one-lane bridge went up. It handled Ozark Trail traffic for 13 years and may have served briefly as Rt 66 while a straighter alignment was built nearby in 1926.

The same construction is found in a bed, producing the name "bedstead truss." Planks on the deck are simply nailed together. It saw 90 years of use (much of it as a shortcut for locals) and can still be walked.
