The fountain is "Joy of Life" by Pittsburgh sculptor Virgil Cantini (1919-2009). It's on a traffic circle in back of the "Cathedral of Hope" built in 1932-35.

Pairing the two elements is a photographic natural but they are otherwise unrelated. The church is Presbyterian, Cantini was Roman Catholic.

The Gothic building is impressive on its own, but doubly so on its hilltop location.

Cropping removes a Stop sign and church dumpster. An artistic effect has been added to the image taken near dawn.
