Hand-cut sandstone frames windows on this 19th century building. Chandler is almost the Buckle on the Tornado Belt. And after an 1897 twister, this structure was put up with extra-thick walls.

An adjoining building uses the same style but the stone has a different appearance. They house the Lincoln County Historical Society Museum and Museum of Pioneer History.
