Grandiosity at ground level implies this is a big building. But reality intrudes at the right top. For all its wedding cake decoration, the Werner Building is just two stories tall!

Note the tremendous difference light makes. Sunlight hits the top just after dawn, creating a warm creamy effect. The bottom, hidden in shadows, is austere and cold.
