This is a short distance from downtown, slightly off the National Road. This building still produces Mail Pouch chewing tobacco. The habit persists in Appalachia and the rural south.

The painted sign originally read "None but employees admitted here..." but that apparently proved confusing, so the first two words were blacked out.
