This is one of the loveliest infrastructure scenes in North America. The view is approximately east toward Wheeling WV in early May. In the foreground is the restored 1828 Blaine S-Bridge on the National Road. Dramatic arches in back are from 1933, early in the numbered highway era, and carry US 40 up Blaine Hill.
