This old tree is near a slave cemetery on the Mount Locust Plantation. It provided a very early, and primitive, Bed & Breakfast operation in the early 1800s.

The tree's been through quite a bit--perhaps lighting, rot, insects or all of the above. But very soon damage of the past will be hidden by a familiar rounded green shape.
