RIGHT, LEFT, VERNELLE'S MOTEL (Rt 66 nr Arlington MO)
The vintage motel, out of view below, was originally highly visible on 66. Construction of I-44 required the "Exit Now" billboard. And then came another blow: I-44 got moved!
The new section of Interstate eliminates winding pavement but leaves Vernelle's, and all these signs, blocked by trees.
