The restaurant has been around since 1919, the Formica counters since the 1950s. Remember eating off glossy-surface countertops with boomerang patterns? Check out the front edge--all that remains of the classic mid-century design. The top surface is completely worn off with the brown substrate beginning to show. Side panels are of coral colored Formica, another 50s touch.
