STAGE STATION #1 (Lincoln Highway Point of Rocks WY)

This sandstone and mud stable went up in 1862 as an Overland Stage station and is now a State Historic Site. In 1869 the transcontinental railroad was completed. The Union Pacific train in the background uses the same roadbed today.
