Found on a 1947 Frazer Manhattan for sale alongside the road. Howard 'Dutch' Darrin was a leading stylist of his day. In a few years, he would create the Darrin sports car with seashell grille and doors that disappeared into the front fenders. There are several images in the "Classic Cars, Classy Chrome" gallery.

Here his chrome has done nothing but trap moisture, leading to a pocket of rust.
