This was how this area was settled before the Transcontinental Railroad in the late 1860s. The wagon motif even makes it onto Nebraska highway signs.

These two oxen are concrete and have been recently restored. This was once a famous souvenir shop near the Lincoln Highway's half-way point. It's not currently in business.
