This original stretch of the Lincoln Highway has unusual construction--mortared brick. Joints are clearly visible between surviving bricks at the extreme bottom and at right. More commonly, bricks were placed close together with sand between them.

This narrow section with a sharp curve leads only to a few houses. The vehicle in back is on the modern highway.
