GARAGE #4 (Lincoln Highway Livermore CA)
A rare rounded porcelain steel Lincoln Highway sign, intended for use on utility poles or fence posts etc.
Many early signs were supplied by highway boosters. The CAA (California Automobile Association) also did extensive road marking, with signs showing distance to nearby cities.
This is among Lincoln Highway artifacts under glass in the museum.
