The historic photo on the doors shows a much more vibrant place a century ago. This image was taken at mid-morning on a Tuesday in October from across the street. I waited for a pedestrian, not for traffic to clear.

Like most larger Erie Canal cities, Rochester has suffered a tremendous population loss over the decades. Recent corporate woes at Kodak and Xerox made things worse.
