Big-city sins (the legal ones anyhow) are conveniently available here in the desert--including tobacco and liquor. The reinforced concrete building dates from 1908. An earlier version, destroyed by fire, was a center for local miners and converted their gold dust into necessities--like tobacco and liquor.
