Bridges through this section were upgraded in the early 1950s. Many are partially or entirely wood construction with asphalt paving.

Typically they carry the road across a "dry wash" that has water briefly after infrequent storms. The earlier Goffs Road section, bypassed in 1931, frequently goes down into dry washes and can flood--as shown in another image.
