PLYWOOD MURAL (Rt 66 Danby CA)
This building is shown in a wider shot in another image. It was built with random pieces of lumber and retrofitted with a window air-conditioner, the metal frame is still visible.
The mural is on two sheets of plywood covering what was the front window. It shows snow-capped mountains and a lake in the background--almost a mirage!
In the foreground, four trappers or explorers are behind a fallen log. They are shooting, presumably at Indians (native Americans) and the 2nd man to the right appears to have taken an arrow to the chest. The two long horizontal lines appear to be damage marks.
There's no indication who painted this...or why they bothered.
