HOUSE, TREE & VIADUCT (Nicholson PA)
The Tunkhannock (Tun-CAN-ick) Viaduct soars above Nicholson PA. It stretches for nearly half-a-mile in a gentle curve above the valley and small town.
This reinforced concrete structure is also known as the Nicholson Viaduct. It dates from 1915 and is more than twice the height and length of the earlier Starrucca Viaduct, built of stone, in Lanesboro PA 35-miles away.
Steam trains are just a memory now, so my images deal with the structure and how it interacts with the town and valley. An artistic effect has been added.
