The Union Pacific got here about 50 years before the Lincoln Highway. This train is hauling coal from Wyoming on a long downgrade--hence the lack of visible locomotive smoke.

This narrow concrete bridge has been painted by locals. It is on the original alignment, a short walk from modern US 30. An artistic effect has been added.
