This reinforced concrete bridge has several names, Columbia-Wrightsville seems to be most common. It went into service four years after the Lincoln Highway was replaced by the numbered system.

The Susquehanna is a mile wide at this point. This bridge is actually longer than the I-55 bridge across the Mississippi River at Memphis.

The bridge has 48 arched spans and stretches 1 1/4 mile (2 km). Unlike many others of similar age, it has wide lanes and is not in danger of replacement. A nearby bypass handles heavier traffic.
