401K is not the type of engine in this Corvette...nor does it have something to do with the four chrome exhaust pipes. It's a retirement savings and investment plan, named after a section of the US tax code.

Some people invest their 401K's in stocks, bonds and mutual funds. But they can be boring or, even worse, go down in value. These people have chosen to invest instead in a shiny new made-only-in-America Corvette, which is the opposite of boring.

They'll at least have fun driving it. And showing it off, as they are here at a car show along Route 66 in Tulsa OK.

They even paid extra for an Oklahoma "vanity" license plate to give us all a chuckle.

And if they're lucky, the Vette will go up in value, giving them a dividend on their investment.
