No deciphering of the artist's intent is necessary here. It's simply "The Love Bug" painted by Anonymous. Won't they be surprised to see this masterpiece here, displayed in a museum...or framed in your living room!

This shot is from the relatively-unknown VW Bug Ranch at Conway TX, off Rt 66 about 25 miles east of Amarillo. It features a half-dozen classic Volkswagens buried nose-deep next to a rattlesnake museum. Years ago, if you stopped and saw the snakes, they threw in the bugs for free. (That wasn't their slogan, but that's how it worked.)

The snake museum has now slithered into history, but the VW Bugs are still there, free and open to the public.
