Here's a styling trend that nobody else followed: the back end of a 1962 Imperial. The inspiration came from...what? My guess is a cup dispenser lying on its side. Whatever it was, it failed to impress buyers, and arch-rival Cadillac (still sporting fins) outsold Imperial this year by 11 to 1.
