This is from the exterior wall between units of the Blue Swallow Motel. Light from pink neon tubing higher-up catches the ridge of a shell, embossed in the stucco during construction circa 1939. Other rough texture is also accentuated. In the middle is a pastel blue neon swallow--one of several lining the building.
