Antebellum mansions that remain are monuments to unequal distribution of wealth. Many survive as Bed & Breakfasts or by giving tours. This gallery isn't about them.
Many town homes in this old city of 15,000 are more interesting. And hanging over everything is a lush canopy of southern foliage.
