STUDEBAKER #1 (Lincoln Highway South Bend IN)

STUDEBAKER #1 (Lincoln Highway South Bend IN)

Studebaker ended US car production in December 1963, a month after President Kennedy's Assassination. The red Daytona in the background was the final South Bend-produced car. In the foreground is the last Canadian Studebaker, made in March 1966. A large advertising piece is on the right, the vehicle distorted by perspective.

Images in this series are from the Studebaker National Museum in downtown South Bend. Info: http://studebakermuseum.org
